Legally Blondes Elle and Bruiser Woods have finally met their match as Wendy and Lucky Diamond reclaimed Harvard for the Brunettes at the H+ Summit, sponsored by Humanity+ and the Harvard College Future Society. Tails were wagging as the Diamond duo gave a presentation on the future of pets. Diamond projects that adoption rates will soar as the number of euthanized pet plummets to 2 million over the next ten years while promoting animal rescue and fairness to animals. Although the pet industry is poised to grow into a 70 billion dollar behemoth, Wendy and Lucky are a living tribute to her mantra that in the future, all anyone will ever need is puppy love.

The Driver’s Seat

Landmark Hampton’s restaurant The Driver’s Seat will celebrate its 50th Anniversary this weekend with Special Happy Hours Friday through Monday from 5pm-6pm. The weekend will also include the opening of their Outdoor Back Bar on The Patio for the summer season. What began as a produce store built in 1888 on America’s oldest commercial street Job’s Lane in tony Southampton and first used as a restaurant in 1960 has become one of the Hampton’s most enduring dining spots – The Driver’s Seat. This Friday, May 28, the current owners Irma and Ken Herzog will unveil the popular dining spot’s latest transformation and kick off the 50th Anniversary celebration. Back in the ‘60s, the owner then was Kingsley Moore, who had a passion for auto racing. He knew many of the drivers at the Bridgehampton Race Track, which was a major stop on the racing circuit back then. Kingsley Moore decided his pub would be called “The Driver’s Seat” and it became a hangout for the local racing set when they were in town. The Driver’s Seat under more recent ownership from 1976 to 2005 underwent extensive renovations and additions to the front bar, back dining room and outside patio/bar. In early 2005 the restaurant was purchased by a local family Ken and Irma Herzog long time customers who loved the restaurant and wanted to restore the restaurant to its original grandeur. From the outset, they wanted to retain the staff who had always made them and their family so welcomed – some employees like local legend, bartender and supreme mixologist Tommy Alexander have been at the restaurant for over 20 years. Since then the facilities and menu have been updated. Their experienced full-time and visiting chefs now offer patrons a broader dining experience. Today, the Driver’s Seat continues providing guests with the best dining quality and value in the Hampton’s. Following an exterior facelift last year, The Herzogs set about transforming the interior into less of a dark pub like atmosphere into a more contemporary, light and airy quintessential Hampton’s eatery without attitude. Now when diners arrive their eyes are drawn immediately to the gorgeous stained glass ocean scene at the very back of the dining room overlooking their lovely outdoor patio. The Driver’s Seat continues to draw heavily on the local population from the Gin Lane summer social set to the farming families and builders who are the backbone of the community. Indeed, The Driver’s Seat has become a destination spot not only in the tri-state region but internationally attracting diners from 9 to 90. Ten Feet Deep

Ten Feet Deep is a rock-pop band from Westchester County, NY. Their first show put them in the deep end of a drained pool, producing the band name. Filmmaker N.C. A student of dance and theatre at Sarah Lawrence College, N.C. Heikin began working at La Mama Experimental Theatre Club upon graduation, with Wilford Leach and Andrei Serban, among others. There, Heikin created the title role in La Mama’s renowned production, Carmilla and created a series of interdisciplinary performance pieces, shown in New York City and at theatre festivals around the world. In 1986, Heikin began screenwriting with commissions from Paramount and Disney and has since done movies for television and episodic work. The brothel web site touts that they have been voted the “Best Small Brothel” for seven years. Shady Lady Madam Bobbi Davis picked him from about 10 potential hires culled from hundreds of applications, many featuring crude inquiries, according to her husband and co-owner Jim. Part of Markus’ appeal was that he was not afraid to deal with heavy publicity.” One concern about the first male prostitute is discrimination because Marcus says he will only have sex with women. The legal female prostitutes are upset. A 22-year-old prostitute at Angel’s Ladies named “Cuddles” said Markus’ unwillingness to see gay males makes the Shady Lady seem sexist and discriminatory. “How can you just turn down services because of what someone’s preferences is? It comes with the territory. It comes with the business,” she said. Another problem, according to AP, is diseases. “George Flint, a longtime lobbyist for the Nevada Brothel Owners Association (which the Shady Lady Ranch is not a member of), said allowing a male prostitute creates legitimate health concerns. Male customers are thoroughly cleaned and inspected for signs of disease before sex at Nevada’s brothels, and he doesn’t believe the same “fanaticism” is possible when checking female customers.” The Shady Lady Ranch charges $200 for 40 minutes and $300 per hour. They do not say exactly what services one receives for the pricing. If Marcus ejaculates in the first five minutes and can no longer perform his manly duties; does one get a refund? At least when I spend $200 at the beauty salon; I get the full haircut.
